21st Century Education

A growing number of business leaders, politicians, and educators are united around the idea that students need "21st century skills" to be successful today. The term "21st-century skills" is generally used to refer to certain core competencies such as collaboration, digital literacy, critical thinking, and problem-solving that schools need to teach to help students thrive in today's world.
But what about the 21st Century Teacher, what are the characteristics we would expect to see in a 21st Century Educator.  To my mind, as educators, we must understand and apply different learning styles and be able to adapt our teaching style to be inclusive of different modes of learning, use student-centered methods, for example, problem-based learning and project-based learning that allow students to collaborate, work on authentic problems, and engage with the community.
